Ryan Brodie- OT   Sr.

  • School: Long Branch High School ~Home of the GREEN WAVES~
  • Height/Weight: 6’6 290lbs
  • Player Info: Ryan is a big offensive tackle with long arms and quick feet. He was the leader of a young Green Waves team and helped them close out the season on a 5 game winning streak, having blocked for a 1500 yard rusher. His efforts earned him 1st Team All-State, County, and Group II honors. Being the prototype LT in the eyes of many scouts, was invited to play in the JuniorRank Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl in Phoenix, AZ. He has decided to play his collegiate career in Piscataway, NJ for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

 

 

Nick Golz- OG  Sr.

  • School: DePaul Catholic High School ~Home of the SPARTANS~
  • Height/Weight: 6’5 290lbs
  • Player Info: Nick was a punishing run blocker this year for a talented Spartans team that averaged over 400 yards of offense a game. He had over 40 pancake blocks propelling him to 1st Team All-State, county, and Non-Public honors. What he enjoys most about battling in the trenches is “it’s the biggest part of the game… battling the guy in front of you to put him on his back” something he did well all season. He currently is exploring his options of Division 1 school where he looks to earn his degree.


Willie Knott- OT/OG  Sr.

  • School: Weequahic High School ~Home of the INDIANS~
  • Height/Weight: 6’4 285lbs
  • Player Info: Willie started all 12 games for the Indians helping propel them to a 9-3 record, SEC championship, and eventual birth in the Group I Sectional II State Championship game. He was a reliable lock down LT having gave up no sacks and amassing well over 50 pancakes throughout the season. He received 1st Team All-Conference and 2nd Team All-Group honors and is currently taking college visits to decide which school he will play collegiality next season. Marcell Lazard- OT Sr.

  • School: Bloomfield High School ~Home of the BENGALS~
  • Height/Weight: 6’6 295lbs
  • Player Info: Marcell instantly demands respect due to his towering frame on the field. This talented senior was able to back that up this past season by transforming himself into a reliable pass protector having gave up no sacks in 10 games. The young Bengals team made a solid run for States with the Essex County Offensive Junior Player of the Year leading the way, they nearly accomplished their goal. Marcell will be joining the West Virginia Mountaineers and will be playing  offensive tackle. On his role, Marcell shared these thoughts “Being a member of the trenches means a lot to me . Of course you don’t receive much credit, but it gives you the opportunity to do the most physical things on the the field and I would much rather get a pancake than score a touchdown”.

Tyler Samra- OG  Sr.

  • School: Don Bosco Preparatory High School ~Home of the IRONMEN~
  • Height/Weight: 6’4 270lbs
  • Player Info: Samra was part of a Don Bosco unit that prided themselves on punishing the man in front of them. This tough hard nose player helped lead the Ironmen to their 2nd consecutive National Championship and 6th consecutive Group IV Non-Public State Championship. The combination of toughness and technique made him a force in the trenches. The Ironmen currently hold the countries longest active winning streak having won 46 games in a row. He received 1st Team All-State, County, and Group recognition and has decided to pursue his degree while playing for the UConn Huskies after graduation.

 

Samuel Zeff- OT  Jr.

  • School: Montclair High School ~ Home of the MOUNTIES ~
  • Height/Weight: 6’5 262lbs
  • Player Info: Sam was a member of an offensive line that lead the charge for New Jersey’s offensive player of the year QB Khalif Herbin. He played every snap with tremendous effort and a motor that continued through the whistle helping propel his team to a 11-1 record. He was able to use quickness to tally up a 38 pancakes while his dual threat QB amassed over 1900 yards rushing and 43 TDs behind him.  The role of being the team enforcer is something he enjoys and when asked about it he said “Being a member of the trenches is just amazing. It’s the most important position on the field. We work hard and have the most fun and there is no feeling better then pancaking the D-line”. Sam Zeff Highlight Film
